She barely fit into her car seat, but we made it home so she could go to sleep in her bassinet.

I Want To Go Home!!! -- September 15, 2006

Lily is almost ready to come home. She has decided she likes to sleep during her feedings, so it has been a little difficult feeding her. She weighs 1950 grams (4.3 lbs), at 2000 grams they will discuss letting her come home as long as she continues to bottle feed well. She passed her car seat test the other day, which proves she can sit in a car seat for 30 minutes without having problems. Lily still may need a blood transfusion, but the good news is that Chris was able to give blood for her. We will know in a couple days if she needs it before she goes home.

Lily is 4lbs and has moved to a crib!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lily is officially 4 lbs now. She has traded real estate. She is out of the isolete and is in an open crib now. She may be home within the week. She just needs to be 4 and a half pounds, maintain her temperature, be able to sit in a car seat and not lose oxygen, and eat. She may have to have a blood transfusion before she leaves and that would be the only thing that would make her stay in the hospital a little longer. But Chris may be a perfect blood match and the hospital is looking into letting him be the blood donor for her. But other than that we may have her home soon. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!
