I am such a big little girl. I like to coo and talk to my parents. I love to be with my family. Look I love to smile now too.
Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 41 days in the NICU Lily finally got to come home on September 18, 2006. She was sad to say goodbye to all of her nurses and doctors. She weighs 4 lbs 7oz.. Pictured below are some of her day nurses: Kristen, Lisa, Susan, and two of her doctors, Dr. Vu and Dr. Manlick. She barely fit into her car seat, but we made it home so she could go to sleep in her bassinet.

Lily is doing much better with her eating today. She is eating 45 cc's per feeding and sleeping well. She was up a little in weight last night, but is just shy of the 2000mg goal to go home. This picture is of Grandma Ava holding Lily, she is wearing one of her homemade hats Aunt Vicky made for her.
Lily is almost ready to come home. She has decided she likes to sleep during her feedings, so it has been a little difficult feeding her. She weighs 1950 grams (4.3 lbs), at 2000 grams they will discuss letting her come home as long as she continues to bottle feed well. She passed her car seat test the other day, which proves she can sit in a car seat for 30 minutes without having problems. Lily still may need a blood transfusion, but the good news is that Chris was able to give blood for her. We will know in a couple days if she needs it before she goes home.

Thank You Aunt Vicki for the two new hats for Lily. Lily's Aunt made this hat that Lily is wearing in this picture, along with another one. Lily also ate 23 cc's of breast milk from the bottle today, which is a new record for her. On August 29th Lily got her first real bath, where she got to sit in the water. She loved the water and did not cry at all. She is coming along good and growing slowly but surely, she weights 3 lbs 4.3 oz..
On August 28, 2006 Lily got her pic line out of her arm. She is no longer on IV Fluids. Lily is up to 3 lbs. 4 oz.. She is taking 32 cc's of breast milk for feeding every three hours and not spitting up at all. We are still working on introducing the bottle twice a day. Zoe also likes to go visit baby Lily at the hospital and look through the window at her. She loves going into the chapel at the hospital to see baby Jesus and pray for baby Lily.
